Justin Bieber Vs. The Grammys: Singer Sets Live Stream For 8 P.M. Tonight

While his manager, Scooter Braun, raged that the Recording Academy "blew it," Justin Bieber seemed to take his Grammy snub in stride last December when the nominations came down. But now, a tricky little bit of counter-programming has us thinking otherwise.

On Saturday, hours before he hit the "Saturday Night Live" stage for a double-duty guest gig, JB tweeted an invite asking Beliebers to join him for a 60-minute live stream on Sunday (February 10) at 8 p.m. ET ... you know, the exact same time the live Grammy broadcast begins on CBS. (Coincidentally, MTV.com has you covered too, helping you get through the commercial breaks with a blow-out live stream!)

Not two weeks after releasing his chart-topping Believe Acoustic, which includes three brand-new tracks, Bieber went on to reveal that he would "play some new music," in addition to taking questions from fans. Tell a friend, he added, before closing the post with that most innocent of emoticons: a smiley face.

Last year, the Grammys scored their second-highest ratings of all time, boosted by a stirring Adele performance and a last-minute tribute to Whitney Houston, who was in Los Angeles for pre-Grammy festivities and died the night before the ceremony.

Will Justin's online live stream put a dent in the awards show's much-desired 18-49 demographic? We never doubt the power of Beliebers. Members of the devoted fan army braved Northeast snowstorm Nemo to camp outside "SNL"'s 30 Rock studio in New York City, determined to nab tickets. We can bet what they'll be watching tonight.
