KINGS OF LEON have broken the record for the biggest-selling download single of all time in the UK.
Their top ten hit, Sex On Fire, from their Brit-winning album Only By the Night, outsold Leona Lewis's 'Bleeding Love' by passing 547,000 online sales.
The US band also hold the title for the biggest-selling digital album ever in the UK with Only By The Night.
Mike Smith, the managing director of the band's record label Columbia said the band had "dominated" rock music in Britain over the past year.
He added: "In any format Only By The Night would be acknowledged as one of the most important albums of the decade, but it has truly come into its own in the digital age.
"Despite only being released five months ago it is now the biggest-selling digital album of all time in the UK. In addition, this week 'Sex On Fire' became the single biggest downloaded track since the birth of the UK digital chart."
