Kings of Leon had a huge fight at the BRIT Awards on Wednesday (18.02.09)
The US band, who picked up two prizes, had a massive bust-up backstage - prompting a 20-person brawl.
Witnesses say the fight was sparked after bassist Jared Followill's girlfriend saw him speaking to a female member of British pop star Alesha Dixon's group. Jared's lover threw water over the sexy musician in a fit of jealousy.
Other reports say Jared's bandmate cousin, guitarist Matthew Followill, was jealous as he was getting less female attention than the other members, and started the fight with lead singer Caleb Followill.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Matthew's always the last one to be asked for an autograph.
"He hasn't been feeling part of things, especially at big events like the BRITs. Caleb was annoying him up all night, unintentionally, and all of a sudden something snapped and they just went for each other. It was like a proper old fashioned bar-room brawl."
Earlier in the evening, Kings of Leon performed together and put on a show of unity as they collected awards for Best International Band and Best International Album.
The group - who have a history of fighting amongst themselves - were later spotted in London club The Met bar, without Matthew. Caleb reportedly went to bed early, retiring just after midnight.
However, Jared spent the rest of his night fending off beautiful admirers, saying: "What is it with London? All night I've had a non-stop stream of blonde girls coming up to me and I just want to go to bed."
