Kings Of Leon have hit out at the casting company who tried to recruit fans with "physical deformities" to star in their 'Pyro' music video.
Last month an advert was posted on Newyork.craigslist.com asking for "characters with scars, pockmarked skin, physical abnormalities or deformities" to come forward for a two-day shoot in a dockside bar in New England.
Fans were being offered $300 (£188) per day for the privilege of looking "unattractive", "rough around the edges" and/or "a little slow".
The band have now claimed they were not responsible and have blasted the casting company for posting the ad. "We were really embarrassed about it but we had nothing to do with it," guitarist Matthew Followill told The Sun.
He added: "They put it out and as soon as we read it we were humiliated and phoned the managers. We were furious."
The 'Pyro' video is on YouTube now.
