Uncut magazine today announces the shortlist for this year's coveted Uncut Music Award.
Among the eight finalists, Southern rockers Kings of Leon will go head to head with the legendary Bob Dylan.
Joining Kings of Leon and Bob Dylan in the final eight are an array of genre-spanning acts - Wilco, Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors, Grizzly Bear, The Low Anthem and Tinariwen.
