Kings of Leon will return to Dallas on Sept. 21 after cutting a show short on Friday night (July 29) because frontman Caleb Followill claimed he was too hot to perform. The group will also perform in Houston on Sept. 22 after postponing a show originally scheduled for Saturday night at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
"Kings of Leon apologize to their fans for any inconvenience this may have caused and look forward to seeing their fans again in September," a rep for the group says in a statement. Tickets from the original shows will be honored at both dates in September, and refunds are available at points of purchase.
Kings of Leon Concert Cut Short, Another Nixed; Bassist Admits 'Problems in Band'
During Friday's Dallas show, Followill told fans at the Gexa Energy Pavilion that his voice was "100 percent gone" due to the heat."I'm gonna go backstage and I'm gonna vomit, I'm gonna drink a beer and I'm gonna come back out and play three more songs," Followill told the crowd before leaving the stage for good.
A statement from the group chalked up the meltdown to "heat exhaustion and dehydration… causing [Followill's] vocal chords to seize." However, the rest of the group's reaction to the incident has hinted at the band's internal problems: drummer Nathan Followill called the show a "fiasco" on Twitter, and bassist Jared Followill wrote, "I know you guys aren't stupid. I can't lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade."

Kings of Leon are currently on the road supporting "Come Around Sundown," which has sold 640,000 copies since its release last October, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The group has not indicated whether or not its show scheduled for Tuesday in Tampa, Fla. will go on as planned.
