Multi award winning US rockers Kings of Leon will perform 6 UK arena shows as part of their European Tour to support the release of the highly anticipated new album 'Come Around Sundown', with tickets going on sale this morning.
The shows look set to encompass classics from the Tennessee-based band's previous chart-topping albums, such as 'Sex on Fire', 'Charmer' and 'Fans', as well as tracks from the long-awaited new album, 'Come Around Sundown', which goes on-sale in the UK on 18th October. The album can be pre-ordered from September 14th, with fans who pre-order the record receiving first single 'Radioactive' as a free download.
'Come Around Sundown' is the fifth Kings of Leon studio album, following multi Grammy winning 'Only By The Night', and continues the band's tradition of using five syllables in album titles. It is expected that titles on the album will include, 'The End', 'Back Down South' and 'Mi Amigo', and that the record will bring the same success as their most recently released album, 'Only By The Night'.
That record, released in 2008, gave the band their first number one album, selling over 6 million copies worldwide. The now legendary tracks 'Sex on Fire' and 'Use Somebody' were huge hits and instigated a world tour which was hugely successful.
Since releasing their debut album 'Youth & Young Manhood' in 2003, the Followill brothers and their cousin Matthew have become household names, winning four Grammys, Brit Awards and countless MTV Music awards.
It is now expected that 'Come Around Sundown', and the supporting tour, will see the band cement their status as rock legends. UK fans can see them play in Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham and London with other shows taking place in Belgium, Austria and Germany.
