LA ROUX's Elly Jackson has admitted that she feels sorry for Little Boots because of the hype surrounding her.
Jackson said the media had over-hyped her fellow electropop star to to point that she will now be expected to secure bestselling records.
Speaking to the Daily Star, she said: "The reaction she got was so unfair. Hype can be a very dangerous thing, it can accelerate people's expectations.
"We felt the same about our album but we have got away with it."
Little Boots - real name Victoria Hesketh - released her debut album Hands in June, which peaked at number five.
La Roux's self-titled debut was held off the top spot by Michael Jackson last month but the duo's second single 'Bulletproof' reached number one in June.
