With headline acts including the legendary Ray Davies, the newly rejuvenated Super Furry Animals, guitar god Johnny Marr, chart topper Tinie Tempah, Primal Scream, The Flaming Lips, Basement Jaxx and Texas, Victorious Festival is proud to announce yet another avalanche of talent for the weekend of 29th and 30th August.
Joining our stellar line-up are rock legends The Darkness, the double MOBO Award winning Laura Mvula, US alt rock heroes We Are Scientists and the hotly tipped Rae Morris, fresh from a Top Ten placing for this year's debut album, 'Unguarded'. Alongside the internationally acclaimed Victorious continues its support for local music with high profile slots for Southampton's New Desert Blues and Southsea's own Kassassin Street and a host of Hampshire bands across the bill (see poster for full line-up). Victorious organizers are also committed to furthering new talent regardless of locale with the up and coming Seafret, Twin Wild and Will Joseph Cook joining NME approved The Wytches and Honeyblood over the weekend.
Last year Victorious Festival welcomed 70,000 visitors to their beautiful festival site on Southsea Seafront and this year looks set to be bigger than ever with a line-up that is fit to burst with big names. Ray Davies' headline set at Victorious will be one of only a limited number of dates this summer.
Festival Director, Andy Marsh, commented, "Victorious is as much about home grown talent as it is the big names on the Bill. It gives new and undiscovered acts a platform to play on a big scale to very large audience! Festivals for me have always been about giving something new a listen and watching the next big thing before they are discovered!"
With tickets priced at just £25 per day until July 3rd, Victorious Festival continues to be one of the best value festivals in the UK this summer. Not only does the festival enjoy a fantastic beachside location on Southsea Seafront, but your festival ticket also offers access to a range of seafront attractions, including Southsea Castle and Blue Reef Aquarium. There'll even be an onsite beer festival taking place to tempt the tastebuds of festivalgoers, as well as a dedicated Kid's stage to keep the little ones entertained.
