Lindsay Lohan's offscreen troubles took another turn for the worse Wednesday (October 10), after reports that the "Mean Girls" actress got into a "huge fight" with her mother Dina earlier this morning, resulting in a call to 911 and a visit from the police.
According to TMZ, both Lohan and her mother spent a late night out together at the Electric Room nightclub inside the Dream Downtown in New York City on Tuesday, leaving together for Dina's Long Island home at around 4 a.m. ET. During the car ride, an argument between Lindsay and her mother escalated to the point that the actress reportedly sustained a cut on her leg, as well as property damage that included a broken bracelet of Lindsay's.
Police later arrived at the Lohan home prompted by a domestic violence call, with sources reportedly telling authorities that "Lindsay was being held against her will by Dina and the driver." The website reported that no arrests were made, though a Domestic Incident Report was taken. Further accounts of the situation claim that the argument stemmed from Lindsay's desire to take her limo to her New York City hotel, while Dina wanted to return to Long Island.
"Somehow Dina prevailed, over the intense protests of her daughter," TMZ reported. "We're told Dina scratched Lindsay's leg in the process."
The spout between Lindsay and her mother is just the latest in a recent string of woes for the young actress. In September, Lohan was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run with a pedestrian, and earlier in the year, she was hospitalized after crashing her Porsche into an 18-wheeler in California. Lohan was also hospitalized in September with a lung infection.
Despite drama in her personal life, Lohan made headlines professionally as well: the first trailer for her new racy drama "The Canyons" arrived this week, with a tagline that reads, "Where the sex is as cheap as the budget and the only way out is death."
