The troubled actress allegedly lashed out at a member of staff at the Betty Ford Center – where she is currently living in a sober house as part of her court-ordered rehabilitation programme – after she and her roommates arrived home late on December 12.
A Palm Desert Police spokesperson confirmed to website Gossip Cop that the unnamed worker “desired prosecution”.
It had been reported staff were called to the building after its occupants threw an alcohol-fuelled party, though Lindsay’s father Michael has insisted she was not involved and passed drug and alcohol tests afterwards.
However, the ‘Machete’ star has been moved to different accommodation since then following an altercation with centre officials.
A source told RadarOnline.com: “Lindsay was moved to another property owned by the Betty Ford Centre in order to preserve her safety, yes, but also to deal with any differences she might have had with anyone in that house.
"Because of the way the earlier Saturday night incident was treated, Lindsay had an obvious clash of personalities with one of the staff at the house. Lindsay was moved to another location to remove her from a potentially hostile environment that had the potential to undo all the good work that she has achieved in her recovery."
