Lindsay Lohan has completed an important 48-hour detox program in rehab.
The 26-year-old actress - who began her 90-day court-ordered treatment at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California on Thursday (02.05.13) - is responding well to her new surroundings and has now transitioned into a female dormitory.
A source told gossip website RadarOnline.com: 'Lindsay was placed in detox for almost forty-eight hours. She is adapting to being back at Betty Ford and is very receptive to the care plan that has been created for her.'
The troubled starlet, who is in rehab as part of a deal she struck to escape jail after pleading 'no contest' to charges for lying to police about driving during a car crash last June while still on probation for stealing a necklace in July 2011, is currently staying in her dorm room alone but 'that could change.'
The 'Scary Movie 5' star, who is still permitted to take Adderall for her attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), will also be given back her phone at some stage during her treatment.
The insider said: 'Her cell phone was confiscated upon admission, but Lindsay will have access to it at some point, because patients are given their electronic devices for a short period everyday, so they can call loved ones. It's very tightly regulated.'
It was previously revealed that unlike other patients, Lindsay is not be allowed to leave the rehab clinic at any point during her three-month stay.
Leslie Place, a case manager at the facility, confirmed in a letter to Lindsay's lawyer: 'It is understood by the Betty Ford Centre that your client is to remain on premises for the duration of her 90-day stay in treatment.'
