Dina Lohan told the 20/20 news show: 'I believe that Lindsay does not drink anymore. I think it is going to be a lifelong struggle with addiction. But I think she's going to be OK.
'She now understands what she needs to get from it [rehab]. She is a young girl struggling. You know, she is not perfect, I am not perfect and you are not perfect.
'Lindsay is learning as she goes, but she is learning under a microscope and I cannot even imagine how that is.'
Dina was critical of the media coverage surrounding her family.
'I never thought it would be this - the media would be so crazy. I really never thought it would get to this level. It's been really hard on my family, harder than anything.'
