Lindsay Lohan doesn't think she "deserves" to go to prison or rehab.
The 23-year-old actress – who is scheduled to appear in a Los Angeles court today (24.05.10) for a status review hearing – insists she has done everything required of her when she was put on three years probation after her second driving under the influence (DUI) conviction in 2007.
She said: "I don't see what reason I would go to prison for. I've been more than compliant with everything having to do with the court system.
"As for rehab, I don't see why I would even have to do that, considering I've been in compliance with everything that occurs when you're in the court system for two DUIs."
Lindsay had been scheduled to appear in court last week, but missed the hearing as she claimed her passport – and items of jewellery – had been stolen from her hotel room in Cannes, France, and says she was "very scared" when she realised she would be unable to fly back to the US.
She added in a video interview with Hollywood.tv: "I was stuck in Cannes. I had my passport stolen so I had no option but to stay there.
"I was trying to find any way to come back because I knew I'd have to deal with any repercussions and I was very scared.
"I went and got my passport in Marseille as soon as I could, which was the next morning.
"I wasn't partying in Cannes. I was there for work. I was there promoting a film.
"I've been focusing on my work and getting my alcohol awareness classes done, therefore, you know, just to be able to start to film again, so I can have this all put behind me."
