The temporary order was issued against David Cocordan, who is believed to have been harassing and stalking the actress for around two years. The ruling was made after Lindsay claimed his behaviour had worsened in the past month. Cocordan reportedly visited the star’s home more than three times bearing gifts, sent her more than 100 text messages as well as phoned her and also followed her to public appearances. In the filing, Lindsay said she feared for her safety because some of the texts were so sexually explicit and profane.
"I am afraid that this text message shows that Mr. Cocordan intends to sexually assault me," she said in her declaration.
It was claimed Cocordan expressed "delusional thoughts and irrational feelings about his belief that [he and Lohan] are in a relationship”. Lindsay claims Cocordan texted her to say “I am glad we are engaged” and said he had a tattoo of her name.
Los Angeles Police Department’s Management Department is working on the case and it has been reported they suspect Cocordan has mental issues and is schizophrenic.
He has been ordered to stay away from Lindsay and not to have any communication with the 24-year-old.
Lindsay took to her Twitter account earlier this week to claim she was being stalked. She even posted a picture of the man she claims has been following her around and asked fans to help her get her through this tough time.
“This is the freemason stalker that has been threatening to kill me- while he is TRESPASSING! I'm actually scared now,” she wrote. “all my fans, my supporters, please stand by me. g-d bless xxL (sic).”
