Overview
The Mean Girls star, who has previously served three brief jail terms and most recently 35 days under house arrest for violating the probation terms of her 2007 DUI conviction, says she didn't harm anyone but herself.
Lohan said: 'Unless you're a killer, I don't see a reason to stay there. I never hurt anyone but myself.'
The 25-year-old now wants to put all her problems behind her and work on her acting career, including her new role in mob film Gotti: Three Generations.
She added to Vanity Fair Italy: 'In October, I'll begin work. I hope to spend next year on set.'
