In a new behind-the-scenes featurette for her Lifetime biopic, "Liz & Dick," Lindsay Lohan is opening up quite extensively about her headline-making life and how it really isn't much different than the one Elizabeth Taylor led.
"I'm a huge Elizabeth Taylor fan," she says in the clip about the chance to portray the Hollywood icon for the movie. "And I relate to her on a lot of levels ... living in the public eye, dealing with the stress of what other people say, whether it's true or not."
Both Lohan and Taylor rose to fame as child stars before their personal struggles made them magnets for tabloid drama. "I personally understand Liz, because you're living your life for everyone to see, and people are growing with you. You get to a point where you become numb to it," she added. "And you just live your life the way you feel you need to live it."
In a poster released for the film, Lohan sports a lot of bling, an obvious homage to Liz's love for diamonds. Well, as it turns out, Lindsay can also relate to that. She added, "I love diamonds, and she appreciated them and it made her happy."
The film revolves around Taylor's gossip-prone relationship with fellow Hollywood legend Richard Burton. Burton will be imagined by "True Blood" actor's Grant Bowler who in the teaser praises Lohan's take on his on-screen love. He says, "Lindsay's excellent to work with. She's pretty much Elizabeth Taylor reincarnated."
The movie premieres on Lifetime in November. A teaser trailer for the film was released last week, and while Lohan doesn't say a lot in it, she does channel the actress' ultra-glamorous style in a variety of vintage looks.
