The 25-year-old actress is reported to have said that her stint at Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, was “scary” and “cold” – despite the fact she was kept away from the other prisoners.
Lohan reportedly arrived at the prison at 8.48pm on Sunday to begin serving her 30-day sentence, but was released at approximately 1.30am this morning, due to overcrowding.
The official sheriff’s booking sheet lists Lohan’s release time as being 7.51am, however, she was pictured leaving earlier.
The former Mean Girls star admitted last week at a court hearing that she had violated her probation by failing to show up at community service appointments at a women's shelter in downtown Los Angeles.
Superior Court Judge Stephanie Saunter told Lohan that she will now have to perform all of her community service at the Los Angeles county morgue, as well as complete 19 sessions of psychotherapy, by 29 March next year.
If she completes them all, her probation will be over and the rest of her sentence will be stayed indefinitely.
