The former Mean Girls star, who is facing jail after allegedly stealing a necklace from a Los Angeles jeweller, reportedly hopes the ancient teachings will help her through her legal woes.
A friend of the 24-year-old said: 'She's been reciting an ancient Kabbalah saying… and spreading the message to her friends.'
It's not the first time that Lohan has sought solace in the mystical faith.
In 2005, she reached out to followers of Kabbalah – whose celebrity devotees include Madonna and Demi Moore – after several car crashes.
At the time, she is reported to have said: 'I am looking into it. All of us need something. You have to grab onto whatever gets you through.'
She has since been pictured wearing the trademark red-string bracelets associated with Kabbalah.
A representative for Lohan was unavailable for comment.
