To Play Sheffield Benefit show on Saturday Aug 4th for the local community's Flood victims at The Plug in their hometown. All proceeds go to 'South Yorkshire Flood Victim Support Appeal', a South Yorkshire wide fund
Sheffield band Little Man Tate have this week organised a benefit show at their local venue The Plug to help put something back into a community that has been wrecked by water damage over the last 10 days.
Organised in conjunction with the Appeal – which is being overseen by Councils in Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley and Rotherham, the show will be headlined by the hit band and both they and management are talking to staff at the venue, security and anyone else involved in the show to provide their time for free so as much money as possible can go directly to the victims.
Support for the show have yet to be announced, but Little Man Tate are offering a chance for an unknown act to join the show via another fundraising scheme. LMT are offering up a slot on the bill to the band who bid the highest amount in an online auction – again all proceeds going towards the fund. Details for this can be found on –www.littlemantate.co.uk
Little Man Tate guitarist Maz said about the events this week "It was a very sad day on Monday and was strange seeing such a great city simply overwhelmed and overpowered. We just want to do something to help make things a little bit better".
