On Sat 19th April, to celebrate the opening of the highly anticipated CARLING ACADEMY SHEFFIELD, Carling has teamed up with local favourites LITTLE MAN TATE to present a one-off event showcasing the best in Sheffield music.
With a musical history that includes Pulp, The Human League, Arctic Monkeys and Reverend and The Makers there's no surprise that Carling chose to host CARLING LOCAL in Sheffield - a celebration of the best music from that city.
Headliners LITTLE MAN TATE are one of Sheffield's finest and most cherished exports, Carling Local sees them appearing on the cities newest stage. The indie-rockers are lifelong friends and were heavily influenced by the sounds of Pulp and Blur whilst growing up in Sheffield. Support comes from five up and coming local bands - The Dodgems, The Wallbirds, Alvarez Kings, The Headliners and Bohemian Mods will showcase the next generation of Sheffield music. Carling Local promises to be a night not to be missed.
Jon Windle from Little Man Tate says: "It's great to be back playing live in our home City and sharing the night at the new Carling Academy with some of our favourite Sheffield Bands."
Ice cold Carling and the best local music. The complete live experience for you and your mates. Carling Local is back with the first show of the year in Sheffield, for more show information visit www.carling.com
