Mel, accompanied by her husband Stephen Belafonte but minus her children Phoenix and Angel, refused to answer if she would be going into the show, saying she was Down Under to promote her new reality show, It's A Scary World.
The star arrived in Sydney on Wednesday night after a nine-hour flight from Hong Kong.
Looking in great shape and wearing sunglasses, Mel was first asked if she was going to be entering the jungle this year.
Smiling, she said: "I'm here for my show, It's a Scary World."
Asked about reports Emma is going into the show, she said: "I think whoever goes in is going to have a great time."
She said she had lots of things to "look forward to" while she was in Australia, and that she "had a full schedule".
Stephen, who reportedly got into a fight at a London hotel recently, was asked if he was going to behave himself while he was Down Under.
Laughing, he said: "What a question! I always behave myself. Australia's a beautiful country. I'm going to enjoy it."
