Mel B sometimes gets "p**sed off" at her husband Stephen Belafonte.
The couple hit the headlines this weekend after Mel missed an appearance on the UK X Factor on Saturday, where she occupies one of the judging seats, due to a reported stomach ulcer.
She returned the next evening, but wasn't wearing her diamond wedding ring. Fans also speculated that her eye seemed swollen, prompting Stephen to take to Twitter to deny domestic abuse allegations. However, it's thought the couple's marriage lies in tatters, with reports circulating Mel may have left him.
In an interview with British magazine Grazia conducted prior to the incident, Mel shed some light on her relationship.
"I walked [in today] p**sed off because I had a big row with my husband about stupid stuff. Sometimes he p**ses me off like no other, but he gets me," she explained.
Mel and Stephen have daughter Madison together and raise Mel's daughters from previous relationships, Phoenix and Angel.
The singer also opened up about her personality, revealing that when things aren't right she tries to correct them straight away.
"I have a massive ego, I always have done, famous or not. I don't take life too seriously. I'm not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm honest and real. I'm always happy, and if I'm not I fix it immediately.
"I am a fighter, I'm proud of what I have achieved, not just in my career but as a woman, I've been through many ups and downs and I've come out of it a stronger person," she continued.
Over the weekend Mel's estranged family also waded into the row, with her sister Danielle pleading with Stephen to contact the family and explain what was wrong with the former Spice Girl.
Mel hasn't spoken to her family for years, with her mother Andrea revealing her daughter had cut her off after she questioned her marriage to Stephen.
The 39-year-old famously took on the role of Scary Spice during her time in The Spice Girls, but insists there's a softer side to her.
"I know that in the past I've been seen as this tough, ballsy woman who doesn't care, has no emotions, but I can be vulnerable and emotional. I'm human," she sighed. "I think the public only saw one side to me, but if they looked they'd have seen every side."
