Mel B fan of ‘sexercise’

Mel B spices up her "boring" fitness routine with "sexercise".

The 38-year-old Spice Girl and America's Got Talent panellist has been married to film producer Stephen Belafonte since June 2006.

Mel reveals the couple's sex life is still going strong seven years into their union and she credits their lovemaking with keeping her motivated to stay in shape.

"If I'm honest, it's lots of working out, which is a commitment and boring… and then sexercise," she laughed during an interview with Access Hollywood.

"Hi, honey! I love you," she added while looking directly into the camera.

Mel, whose full name is Melanie Brown, is mother to three children and is also stepmother to Stephen's daughter Giselle.

Although her professional life is incredibly active, the grounded star always finds time in her day to focus on motherhood.

"You just do," she said. "It's a balancing act every single week. You just make it work."

Mel wants her children to receive the best education they can.

Although she loves being a performer, the star wants her brood to carve out their own career paths.

"I say to all my kids, 'Get your education first and if you're good enough, I'll tell you and then you can go into the entertainment world,'" she smiled.

Mel is having a blast judging America's Got Talent with shock jock Howard Stern, model Heidi Klum and actor Howie Mandel.

She thinks Howard's public persona is not reflective of the man he really is behind closed doors.

"I did his radio show about 18 years ago and he was very feisty on the radio and as soon as the radio switched off, he was like a lovable teddy bear," Mel recalled. "I don't think he wants anybody to know that, but yes, he is a softy pants! He does have an image where he can be a little bit feisty and that's what people expect and like, but he's actually a sweetheart."
