The former Spice Girls singer’s new show Mel B: It’s a Scary World, follows the antics of her and producer-husband Stephen Belafonte and her two children from previous relationships Phoenix, 11, and three-year-old Angel.
Mel says the new show is completely no holds barred, although she won’t let cameramen film in her and Stephen’s bedroom if they can hear the dulcet melodies of the late crooner Barry filling the room, as that could suggest there are some raunchy goings-on occurring.
“They come in the bedroom but not after 1am. That’s when Barry White music comes on and God knows what else happens...” teased the star in an interview with Heart radio.
The pop singer-turned-television star says viewers can expect some crazy shenanigans on the show, as she and her family are “freaky but fun”. However, she says there won’t be too many major meltdowns on the programme, as in general Mel thinks she’s quite calm. In fact, the star admits it’s usually small things which make her sad, although she pulls herself together for the sake of the children.
“Stupid things like when my diary gets double booked,” replied Mel when asked what makes her get upset.
“I check myself. When you have kids it’s about your family.”
