Mel B always hopes people will sing her songs better than she did.
The star began her career as part of girlband the Spice Girls alongside Victoria Beckham, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell.
She's now putting her expertise to good use as a judge on the upcoming series of The X Factor UK and America's Got Talent. Mel loves it when contestants belt out songs by her former band but hopes they will bring something new to the table.
"It's kind of funny. We had one yesterday actually and he was a really good singer," she smiled to the British edition of OK! magazine.
"I think he sang Say You'll Be There. You kind of hope it will be better than the way you did it. I always like it when they put a twist on your song and you go, 'Ahh, that's good.'"
As well as coping with her hectic career, Mel raises three children. The star, who is married to Stephen Belafonte, says it's nothing unusual for her to be busy.
"I haven't got a lot on my plate," she laughed. "I'm always doing everything. If you've known me and my life and my work ethic, I always like to keep a bunch of things happening. Whatever I do, I do it 100 per cent anyway."
Also sitting on The X Factor UK's judging panel is former Girls Aloud member Cheryl Cole. Mel added that she'd be up for a Spice Girls and Girls Aloud medley while on the show.
