Mel B is still hopeful for a full Spice Girls reunion.
The famous girl band last performed as a five-piece at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony. But since then Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, has spoken of her disinterest in performing on stage again. However Mel, otherwise known as Scary Spice, believes there could still be potential for the band to perform together once more.
"I think all of us are interested. We started this group almost 20 years ago, and we launched on the scene together. So we've all got a mutual respect for each other … but we'll see," she said to Smashing Interviews Magazine. "Nothing has actually been set up yet [regarding the rumoured Las Vegas shows]. We've been in talks about doing something together at some point, but there have been no dates, no confirmation of anything really. It's just a conversation."
While Mel and her fellow Spices Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisholm are keen to take up a Las Vegas residency, Victoria is more focused on her fashion designing. Last year she told Vogue Paris that she knew her time as a Spice Girl was over in 2008.
"The day of the concert at Madison Square Gardens in New York, the other girls spent time relaxing in bed, shopping and in the gym before heading off to the sound check," she recalled. "I arrived with three kids in tow in a really tight dress because I'd been in meetings all day. I put my bags and the children down, I picked up the mic and I sung. It should have been the best moment of my life, but I just wanted to be elsewhere."
