Mel B wants interesting name for new baby

The former Spice Girl, who has daughters Phoenix, 12, and four-year-old Angel from previous relationships, is expected to give birth to the baby any day now.

Mel still hasn't picked a name for her unborn child - and is unsure about her hubby Stephen's ideas.

The 36-year-old told British Hello! magazine: 'Stephen and Angel and Phoenix come up with the most ridiculous suggestions, either really generic or totally out there and random.

'Stephen only likes really boring names. He's suggested Tom and Sarah. Phoenix and Angel are pretty exotic, I can't now have a Tom or a Sarah.

'Angel wants to call the baby Bubblegum and Phoenix wants Skyler. I am probably just going to come up with the name myself.'

The star is yet to find out the gender of her unborn child so is trying to come up with a name that could be suitable for either a boy or a girl.

She added: 'I've been trying to think of unisex names, as we don't know the gender. With Phoenix, her dad and I picked the name ages before she was born, but with Angel she didn't have a name for two weeks.

'She just looked like a little peanut, so that's what I would call her.'
