Judas Priest have announced details of a new album curated by some of their peers, including Metallica's James Hetfield and Ozzy Osbourne.
The album, entitled 'The Chosen Few', asked each contributing artist to choose their favourite song by the band and explain why.
Ranging from Judas Priest's 1977 album 'Diamonds And Rust' through to 1990’s 'Painkiller', the album also features songs chosen by Alice Cooper, Joe Elliott, Slash, Lemmy, Kerry King and Corey Taylor.
Slipknot's Taylor, who chose 'You've Got Another Thing Coming', said: “Judas Priest: the blueprint for the ultimate heavy metal band..”
Osbourne, who selected 'The Ripper', said: “This has always been one of my favourite Judas Priest songs…. I just want to know what the **** that note is that Rob Halford hits in the beginning of the song. F*cking hell!! That note is probably just below what only dogs can hear.”
'The Chosen Few' is released on October 10.
