The Pussycat Doll fought back tears following a performance by Committed on a capella talent show The Sing Off.
'Sorry – I was just really moved by that song,' she sobbed after the Alabama-based group sang a version of Hold My Hand by Michael Jackson and Akon.
'Come on Nicole – I know this is live,' she said, trying to pull herself together.
Nicole’s tears will surely be compared to those shed by Cheryl Cole following moving performances on UK reality show X Factor.
The 32-year-old singer is tipped to join Cheryl on the judging panel when Simon Cowell brings the talent contest to the United States next year.
She has already had some practice, stepping in for the Girls Aloud star while she recovered from malaria earlier this year.
Last night Committed were revealed as the winners of The Sing Off, taking home a record contract and cash prize.
