Nicole Scherzinger has reportedly split from toyboy tennis player Grigor Dimitrov.
The 37-year-old singer was first linked to 24-year-old Grigor back in November (15), before the pair went public with their romance in January (16) at a tennis tournament in Australia.
However, while things were originally going well for the couple, it was former Pussycat Dolls star Nicole's desire to start a family that apparently caused things to end with her sportsman beau.
"Nicole is at a different stage in life to Grigor," a source told Britain's The Sun newspaper. "She really likes him but wants to settle down - something he's not quite ready for.
"It's the situation she had with Lewis (Hamilton), which is why that relationship stalled. She's aware she is not getting any younger and wants kids."
Nicole split from Formula 1 driver Lewis in January 2015 after a seven year on-off romance, with their disagreements over settling down and having children also said to have led to their break-up.
Grigor was also newly single when he embarked on his romance with Nicole, as his relationship with drug shame tennis star Maria Sharapova finished in July (15) after two years.
Despite Nicole and Grigor's split, Nicole is apparently still hoping that the Bulgarian will make a dramatic gesture to get her back.
"She hopes he might come back with a proposal," the source added to The Sun.
At least Nicole has work to concentrate on in the midst of her relationship troubles. It was recently announced that she will be joining the upcoming Dirty Dancing revamp from U.S. TV network ABC.
She will portray Penny Johnson, the role made famous by Cynthia Rhodes in the 1987 film.
Little Miss Sunshine star Abigail Breslin will tackle Jennifer Grey's Frances 'Baby' Houseman character, while Debra Messing will play mum, Marjorie, and Colt Prattes will take over the part of Johnny Castle from the late Patrick Swayze.
