The beautiful star shot to fame as the lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls, and has recently been linked to the judging panel of Simon Cowell’s new American version of British talent show The X Factor.
Simon has yet to decide who will front the panel of the televised singing competition, although Nicole has been cited as a favourite along with British pop star Cheryl Cole.
It is thought Nicole is excited about possibly getting involved with The X Factor in the US, but sources have claimed the singer is worried about spending too much time away from her British boyfriend, Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton.
“Of course, if Simon Cowell offers her the opportunity to be a judge on The X Factor in America, Nicole will accept. But she knows it will put her on the other side of the world to Lewis,” an insider told Look magazine.
The 32-year-old star has had an on/off relationship with the 25-year-old motor racing champion since 2007. In January the pair parted ways, only to reunite soon after, and their romance appears to be going from strength to strength.
It is thought Nicole worries about the strain a long-distance relationship could have on their love, and she doesn’t know whether focusing on her career could mean putting her personal life at risk. Only last year there were reports Nicole and Lewis’s relationship had suffered due to their work commitments, so she doesn’t want history to repeat itself.
“They broke up last year because of work schedules, so she doesn’t want to end up with a great career but no soulmate,” added the source.
