Nicole has recently been sporting a strange updo but the 32-year-old let her sleek long hair down on BBC Breakfast today.
She said she wasn't sure if the Pussycat Dolls will get back together but she doesn't mind because she is currently in a good place.
Nicole said: 'I mean obviously you have got to be courageous and brave [to go solo], but some of the girls in the group left to pursue solo careers because in the end we are all individuals.
'I am more sad because I miss them on stage and I miss their energy but I'm so excited, I love the single and album and this is a great time for me.'
Speaking about the band's reform, the Poison singer added: 'I'm not sure there's always the possibility because it was such an amazing time for us, like I said, I know some of the girls are doing their own stuff but I'm really happy right now.
'It's a good time right now, I feel like unleashed, the music is rocking out.'
Scherzinger, who appeared as a guest judge on X Factor earlier in the series, praised contestant Rebecca Ferguson and said she was her little 'songbird'.
She said: 'I was there for Rebecca's first audition and I always told Simon [Cowell] that's my songbird right there and I did kind of help him out with the whole One Direction thing putting the group together.
'I don't know if she's [Rebecca] going to win, I think everyone can all win rightfully. But I know if she wins or not I'm going to be listening to her voice, she's my songbird and I'm going to share her with you all.'
