The one-time Pussycat Doll, 32, said that her new album has an energetic theme running through it.
She told BBC News, 'All of my singles, they definitely have a different sound but they all have the same thread.
'It's really driven, in-your-face, strong, up-tempo dance music, with rock and funk. So they all have that thread running through them and when I'm performing it live I wanted to make sure that it had a big, live, lot-of-energy feel to it, as opposed to a one-dimensional sound.'
And she credited main collaborator RedOne for helping her get the sound that she wanted. 'RedOne's great with that sort of [energetic] production,' she said. 'Our love of rock 'n' roll and jazz and funk really helped us to gel on this album.'
