Nicole Scherzinger had hairy legs as a teenager.
Although she is now regarded as one of the world's sexiest women, the 'Boomerang' singer admits her mother didn't allow her to wear make-up or shave her legs as a young girl, which would often result in her being teased at school.
She said: 'I came from a conservative background. I didn't wear lots of make-up at a young age. My mum made me have hairy freaking legs forever! She didn't let me shave, it was so embarrassing.'
However, the 34-year-old singer feels her mother's strict rules helped her mature in hindsight and she, too, would treat her own daughter the same way.
She added to the UK issue of OK! magazine: 'I said, 'I'm not going to do this to my kid', but I probably will do the same thing to my kid!'
Nicole also revealed that she didn't blossom until later in life and didn't receive attention from boys when she was younger.
She said: 'Everyone made fun of me because I was the last to kiss a boy. I was always real shy and came from a strict Catholic family. I was conservative and didn't put myself out there for that. People knew and teased me for that.'
