Cheryl Cole could be replaced by Nicole Scherzinger as X Factor USA judge.
It was revealed this morning (May 26) that the Girls Aloud star had been dropped by producers over fears the American public could not understand her strong Northern accent.
Cole is now likely to be replaced by Nicole Scherzinger, who had been previously been hired to co-host the programme alongside Welsh TV presenter Steve Jones.
A spokesperson for Cole has yet to comment.
It is not clear if Cole will now return to the judging panel on the UK edition of The X Factor, which has yet to finalise its panel.
Meanwhile, Kelly Rowland and N-Dubz star Tulisa are set to be confirmed as judges on the UK X Factor, according to reports.
