Overview
The show’s producers, Fox, Fremantlemedia North America and Syco TV, confirmed in an official statement today that Scherzinger will be replacing the 27-year-old Geordie singer as a judge on the US talent competition.
According to the statement, Scherzinger will join Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and LA Reid in their search to find a “global superstar or group to win the life-changing $5m recording deal”.
The 32-year-old Don’t Hold Your Breath singer previously joined Cowell as a guest judge on the UK’s X Factor in 2010.
Welsh star Steve Jones will now be the sole host of the UK show.
