The singer recently filmed her scenes for the eagerly-awaited science fiction film in New York and is believed to have a small role, playing a villain called Lilly. Nicole was thrilled to be involved in the third instalment of the hit franchise starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, but admits she doesn’t know if she impressed with her performance.
The beauty found it strange to shoot her scenes, because many of them were set in front of a blank background – so CGI characters can be added in later.
“I’m excited; I grew up on the stage so film is still kind of new for me so I am learning a lot,” Nicole explained in an interview on British television show This Morning. “When you are on stage, you are speaking to someone – I come from a musical theatre background. But when it’s film you are sometimes not acting with an actor, just a background screen.
“So for the film I was acting to a lot of, ‘Bam, bam, he is alive, bam, he is dead!’ and I was just trying to react to all of that, thinking, ‘Is this good or bad acting I am doing right now?’”
Nicole went on to confess her character meets a grisly end. The 32-year-old star loved filming her death scenes, but refused to reveal any further details about Lilly’s demise.
“Yes, they kill me off, I am lucky I get to die,” she added. “It’s very dramatic, but you will have to wait and see.”
Men in Black III is expected to hit cinemas worldwide in 2012.
