Paris Hilton was reportedly pulled over for speeding.
The 32-year-old was caught breaking the law while driving in the affluent Beverly Hills neighbourhood in California.
Paris apparently was moving at 42 miles per hour on Thursday while she was in a residential area with a limit of 25 mph.
The blonde hotel heiress got reprimanded by police as she sat in her swanky blue Bentley vehicle, according to TMZ.
Apparently she was not let off the hook and was issued a ticket by the law enforcement officer.
It seems the reality star was on her way to practice some choreography for her revamped music career.
"Fun at @RobinAntin's house learning some sexy dance moves for my new music video," she tweeted that evening about the dance instructor. "Love Robin, she is so talented, beautiful & sweet."
It wouldn't be the star's first run-in with the law. She was arrested August 27 2010 for cocaine possession.
Two months prior to that she was stopped on suspicion of carrying marijuana at the South Africa soccer World Cup and again a few weeks later in Corsica on similar grounds.
Paris was sentenced to 45 days in prison in June 2007 on driving offences.
The socialite recently joined the Cash Money records family where her colleagues will include rappers such as Juvenile and Lil Wayne.
CEO Birdman recently defended the decision to put the businesswoman on a contract.
"Honestly, I don't think people know how talented Paris is," he told MTV News. "I just left from her house she was playin' me some music and we were meeting. She got a record we're about to come out with and she's very talented.
"You know she's already somethin' special as an entrepreneur and everything that she do."
