It has been confirmed the Oxygen network will soon begin filming Paris as she “enters the next stage of her life”. The hotel heiress previously appeared in The Simple Life alongside Nicole Richie, but is keen to prove she isn’t a blonde airhead and the new series will document what happens “beyond what you see in the tabloids”.
Paris is determined to clean up her image after pleading guilty to possessing cocaine earlier this month. She received a one-year suspended sentenced, community service and a $2,000 fine.
“With Hollywood on one side and real life on the other, this series follows Paris and four important women in her life, through all of their ups and downs, loves gained and lost, marriages, kids, divorce and more, revealing a lively group of dynamic individuals,” a statement from the show reveals.
Paris’ friends Brooke Mueller – the wife of Charlie Sheen – Allison Melnick and Jennifer Rovero are all set to appear on the programme, along with the socialite’s mother Kathy Hilton.
The as-yet untitled project aims to show Paris in a new light and banish misconceptions about the 29-year-old star.
“Paris is magnetic in such a way that viewers are naturally curious about her and think they know her based on what they see in the media,” said Amy Introcaso-Davis, Senior Vice President of Original Programming and Development. “We’re looking to truly bring an all-encompassing look at her life, friends, family, and relationships, all that’s not represented every day. It’s going to be a fascinating journey.”
