Paris Hilton’s alleged hit and run victim may give up her job as a paparazzi photographer as a result of the accident.
The socialite’s boyfriend Cy Waits apparently drove his car into a part-time snapper, known only as Carol, as they left West Hollywood restaurant Boa on Wednesday (29.09.10), leaving her needing hospital treatment on her foot.
Although she was left frightened by the incident, Carol accepts that she was partially at fault.
She told RadarOnline.com: “It was more scary than anything because all I could see was this car still going and rolling on top of me.
“And that’s what I thought about when I got home from the doctor; I’m lying in bed and all I can think about is that car coming at me.
“This whole incident might just make me stop working as a paparazzi forever. I just do it on the side, but maybe not anymore. Not after last night.”
Carol believes both she and Paris can learn from the incident, which she describes as a “freak accident”.
She added: “I think we’re both at fault and I feel bad. It was just a freak accident. My foot was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
“I’m not out to harm her Paris or Cy and I’m sure they weren’t out to harm me. But he does need to realise that you can’t hit people with your car, and I, at the same time, can’t be out on the street hanging over the hood of a car taking pictures of people.”
Carol has not yet been contacted by representatives for Paris or Cy, but is hoping to talk with them today (01.10.10).
After returning to the scene of the accident Cy was reportedly “detained” by police officers and breathalysed, before being released. He was given a citation and will have to appear in court at a later date.
Carol has to return to hospital for a check up but isn’t worried, adding: “I just need to keep my foot up and let it heal.”
