Paris Hilton stood up by a furious Gordon Ramsay

In the US series' latest episode, aired last night, the reality star popped into the show's centrepiece eatery to have a dinner prepared by its competitors.

Looking sultry in a black dress, the surprise appearance turned heads – including those of the evening's main guests, a group of US Marines.

But their presence was not enough for the show's competitors to raise their game, and a string of mistakes sent Ramsay into a rage as diners watched on.

After the first lot of appetisers took almost two hours to leave the kitchen, he was tipped over the edge when he was presented with undercooked beef by one of the wannabe chefs.

'I'm done standing here with a bunch of idiots,' he screamed as he removed his apron and threw it in the air.

'(Bleep) you all! Good luck… Superstars!'

As he walked out through the front of the restaurant still foaming at the mouth, a shocked Hilton can be seen looking at him.

'Oh man,' she appeared to say under her breath.
