Queen Latifah has become the face of a weight-loss plan.
The 'Hairspray' star, famous for her fuller figure, will be the new spokesperson for the Jenny Craig program, which promotes healthy eating and exercise.
Scott Parker, Jenny Craig's Vice President of Marketing, said: "We officially confirm that Queen Latifah will join the Jenny Craig program in January. We are thrilled to have Queen Latifah support our mission of improving health by taking her first step toward achieving a more healthful lifestyle."
Earlier this year, Latifah opened a fast food restaurant.
She attended the opening of the FatBurger diner in Miami in June and admitted she was excited about the franchise extending across America. She said: "That was part of my Los Angeles education. On Sundays in California everybody would come out in all these low-riders. FatBurger was, like, the centerpiece for it all."
The 'Chicago' star is following in the footsteps of Kirstie Alley and 'One Day At A Time' star Valerie Bertinelli by fronting the campaign. Valerie reportedly lost 30 pounds, while Kirstie lost 75.
