A perfume company that struck and agreement with Prince in 2006 to use his name, likeness and the title of his then current album, 3121, as the moniker for their new fragrance. Revelation Perfumes and Cosmetics, Inc. says in the suit that the singer/guitarist did not help in the launch or promotion of the fragrance in July 2007, breaking his contract. They are seeking $3.95 million.
For the first time, Queen is allowing the film of one their last concerts with the late Freddie Mercury, Live at Wembley Stadium, to stream in its entirety on the internet. The move celebrates what would have been Mercury's 65th birthday and will be available on the band's YouTube channel for two days starting Monday.
Doris Day has been away from show business for many years but, at 87, is about to release the new album My Heart. She's also given very few interviews, but how could she possibly turn down Paul McCartney. Paul interviews Day in The Telegraph.
The cover art for Lulu, the collaboration between Metallica and Lou Reed, was released on Friday and it's quite interesting. The album is out November 1 in North America, the day before in the rest of the world.
The Blondie album Panic of Girls will be out September 13 but as only a digital download in North America. The group has not been able to secure a label deal, so they have decided to release the album as an Amazon exclusive.
Phil Rudd, drummer for AC/DC, is about to become a restaurantour. He's opening a harborside restaurant called Phil's Place in Tauranga, New Zealand. Rudd said "I want it to be more than a restaurant - a whole dining experience. I have focused on the visuals, the sound, the smell and of course the taste. Most of all, 'the feel'. It will be a place that will blow your mind."
