Hotly tipped London based five-piece Red Light Company release a new single Meccano, on CD and two 7" vinyl singles, through Lavolta Records on Monday 11th August.
Red Light Company released their debut EP With Lights Out in May and had Zane Lowe from Radio One declaring RLC to be "a band everyone's shouting about, so so good" in fact he liked them so much that he has booked them for a session to broadcast on Wednesday 13th August. Jo Whiley also raved "a song that's heads and shoulders above everything else, grabs your attention straight away… love it." With Lights Out was also Rebel playlist winner on Steve Lamacq's 6 Music Show and sold-out within days of going on sale, making it an instant collectors item.
Vocalist and guitarist Richard says of Meccano "It's based around an imaginary conversation between two old friends and the distance growing between them as their lives go on. It's about the regret of a passing friendship".
Following support dates in Europe with Editors and Mobius Band and a headline tour of the UK earlier this year RLC have confirmed the following shows and festivals in the UK and mainland Europe:
