The Take That singer believes the political movement - which aims for a classless society based upon common ownership - is preferable to capitalism although he admits he struggles with his political beliefs because he wants to buy a Rolls Royce.
Writing on his blog, he revealed: "Capitalistic conspiracy? I'm with you. The system is destined to explode and I think it's sooner rather than later . If we could get communism to work without corruption . I'm in ..The Rolls Royce Phantom is the ultimate symbol (for me any way) of our desire for 'stuff' and it's all 'stuff'. Bulls**t when you break it down . consume, consume, consume . we're at the tipping point my friends.
"Fasten your seatbelt we're in for a bumpy ride . I'm a socialist capitalist which leads to guilt. (sic)"
Robbie, 37, is having such a dilemma over his lavish tastes, he has asked his fans for their advice on whether he should splash out on the extravagant vehicle ' which costs over £300,000 - or not.
He said: "I'm having a bit a Rolls Royce Phantom issue at the minute . have been for a couple of years now . truth be told . I'd luuuuuurrrrrvvvvee one . but I think about you lot and what you would think of me . I know it's a vulgar display of wealth . I guess I'm asking your permission . let's have a vote . If you lot by majority think it's ok then I'll treat myself, if not I won't, serious. (sic)"
