Robbie Williams has been "crying a lot" since learning he is to be a father for the first time.
The singer announced that he and his wife Ayda Field are expecting a baby last week.
Robbie's father Pete Conway says the Take That star has been emotional about the news.
"He says he's been crying a lot because he's so pleased," he told British newspaper The Sun.
Robbie's fellow Take That members Mark Owen and Gary Barlow also have babies on the way. Pete adds his son is already thinking about what to call the new arrival.
"Mark's expecting and Gary, so there will be three little Take That babies in one go. They might call it Pete," he said.
Pete's comments come after Robbie shared his joy over the baby news with fans on his blog.
"Hey friendlies , I've been keeping a secret from you all…me and Ayda are going to be mummy and daddy this year …!
"We had sex! It works (sic)!" he wrote.
The 38-year-old musician added he and Ayda have been for a scan already. They can't wait to welcome their first child later this year.
"We've seen scans and cried….Looked at babies in commercials and teared up…..The nursery is already planned…. Basically i'm in love with a little person growing in mummy's belly…. (sic)," he wrote.
Robbie and Ayda got married in August 2010, in a lavish ceremony at the singer's home in Los Angeles.
