Interviewing Take That bandmate Gary Barlow for his new radio show, Rudebox Radio, he admitted that he has such a short attention span that he gets bored when talking on the phone.
He said, 'I've got a phone phobia. I can't concentrate on a phone call when anything is happening.'
'I own no phone apart from the house phone. I just use everyone else's,' he joked, adding that Gary used to charge him every time he wanted to use his phone back in the 90s.
'It used to be a quid per phone call. Can you imagine what it would be now?' he said.
Meanwhile Gary confessed that Howard Donald is his favourite Take That member, although he wishes he hadn't given him lead vocals on their 1995 hit Never Forget.
'The only thing wrong with Never Forget, for me, is that I'm not singing it,' Gary said.
'We used to divvy up stuff per record and when we first recorded the song it wasn't the stand-out hit that it became, so I said, 'Here you are, Howard'.
'Then it had a big mix and it was just a different record when it came back, I was like, 'Ey up'.”
