Robbie Williams has split from his girlfriend.
The 'Angels' singer is reportedly heartbroken after separating from "soulmate" Ayda Field in a bid to get his ailing pop career back on track.
A source said: "Robbie is absolutely devastated the relationship has ended. He thought Ayda was his soulmate and was desperate for it to work. "
Unfortunately, the timing was not right for them and after being on-off for a while they have finally decided to call it quits. They remain friends though.
"But Robbie is dead serious about his music again, it's his number one focus. He's in the recording studio 24/7 working on his best tracks yet."
The pair's relationship allegedly hit the rocks because the 29-year-old actress wanted a partying lifestyle, whereas reclusive Robbie, 34, is only interested in spotting UFOs and playing the occasional game of golf.
A friend told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Ayda wanted to go for a few more parties and meet people but Robbie has shunned the party lifestyle for a quieter, less public life. It's a blow to his whole circle but they are happy he is back to his best musically."
Robbie - who previously dated Oasis star Liam Gallagher's now wife Nicole Appleton and former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell - has been inundated with romantic offers since news spread he is single again.
The source added: "Robbie has turned down dates with loads of gorgeous girls. He won't even entertain the idea of dating someone else so soon after Ayda. He doesn't want anything to distract him from his work. Robbie's most recent album, 2006's 'Rudebox', was both a critical and commercial flop.
